So, you’re probably wondering what a Content Manager is and what they do. I don’t blame you. It sounds just a little bit made up, and likely something you haven’t put much thought into. I get it. But no worries. I’ll keep this sweet and simple and hopefully, give you a little better understanding of what this business is about and maybe even encourage you to look into whether or not your business needs one.
Ok, let’s start first with defining what content is in this space.
Content is the information you’re displaying on your digital platforms related to your business. For example, it can be your About Us section, your Mission, Vision & Values statements, or even posts on social media about your product, team or anything to do with your business. It can also include your digital ads.
Now that we have that lined out, let me tell you about what a Content Manager does.
The main responsibility of a Content Manager is to keep your content fresh, informative, appealing, and current. To do that, they are generally responsible for the following:
